The Peace Action Group is leading the community-based work required to prepare the application. Becoming a City of Peace is not a claim that a community is without challenges; it is a commitment to building a safer, more inclusive, connected, and compassionate community through collaboration, service, education, reconciliation, and shared action.
Community support is already growing, with letters received from the Eagles and Lions Clubs, the African and African Descendants Friendship Club, and the Chamber of Commerce. The strategic plan below outlines the vision, priorities, and initiatives that will guide this work as we continue engaging community partners.
St. Albert would join more than 425 Cities of Peace around the world, connected by a shared commitment to building peace at the local level.
